FRANCISCO-JAVIER LÓPEZ R. (Málaga, 1958) Flutist - Composer - Professor of Music and Performing Arts.
Flute Studies in Málaga with Juan Villarreal. In Madrid with Andres Carreres, Francisco Maganto, José Domínguez and Antonio Arias. Composition studies with teachers Francisco Calés Otero, D. Luis Ignacio Marín and D. Manuel Castillo. Collaborations with the Orchestra of the Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, Orchestra Bética of Seville and Musiziergemeinschaft Salzburg. Concerts in Canada, USA, Cuba, Dominican Republic, México, Panamá, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Chile, Argentina, several european countries with Plácido Domingo and Montserrat Caballé. Member of the flutes trio "A Capella", "The Spain Galante" and harp duo "Cadenza" whose activities stretch across Spain. Participation as a composer and musician in the International meeting "Printemps Musical des Alizés".
Concerts for flute and piano in Voralberger Landes Konservatorium in Feldkirch (Austria) and Italy. Professor of "Manuel Castillo" Conservatory of Sevilla.
Author of numerous books on history, teaching, technical and reprints of works for romantic flute . Author of numerous articles on musical education, various contributions in the "Dictionary of the Spanish and Latin-American Music", edited by SGAE and the "Spanish Biographical Dictionary", published by the Royal Academy of History. Compositions published in Alfar, Musica Didáctica, Boileau, Real Musical, Rivera, Warner Bros and Dasi-Flautas. Recordings of unpublished music for flute J. Valverde (XIX century) with the label Piccolo and J. Gericó as companion, five sonatas for flute and harp Krumpholtz (XVIII century) (Dúo Cadenza) and Eighteen duettinos for two flutes of José María Ribas (XIX century) a duet with Eduardo González-Barba, musical tale to twelve instruments and narrator, who is the author: "La Puerta del Alcázar", sponsored by the Seville City Council.
Also author of the cantata "El Águila Dorada", to commemorate the 250th birthday of WA Mozart and the Musical "La Silueta del Tiempo" for the eightieth anniversary of the formation of the poetry Generation of 27. Editor of the magazine "Flauta y Música", secretary of the Association of flautists of Andalucia.
Editorial board member for ten years of the magazine "Diferencias (Conservatorio Superior de Música de Sevilla). Professor in courses organized by the "Universidad Internacional Antonio Machado", international courses "Martín Códax" (Toledo), Voralverger Landeskonservatorium in Feldkirch (Austria), Conservatorio "Luigi Cherubini" in Florence, Conservatorio "Santa Cecilia in Rome", Conservatorio "G. Rossini" in Pesaro and National University of Colombia (Conservatorio of Bogotá, 2009, 2010). He has participated as a guest artist at the First Convention of flutist of Spain and acted as a juror in numerous national and international flute competitions.
